Classes 9 and 10

These years are crucial in the students’ academic journeys. At this level we offer two programs for the parents and the children to choose from. One, is the Middle Years Program of the IB and the other, is the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) of Cambridge International.

Through the Secondary schooling, the children not only get involved with the world around them but also follow their personal passion to work on and develop an area of interest which culminates into a project or a profession later in life.

The personal project is a culminating Middle Years Programme (MYP)* project to develop the student’s personal interest and to show and apply the skills, which are developed through the MYP’s Approaches to Learning. This project is based on the student’s interests and talents, resulting in a product or outcome. The project is a year-long project, which begins in grade 9 and ends in grade 10.

Prometheus School is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.

* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
