Classes 9 and 10

These years are crucial in the students’ academic journeys. At this level, we offer two programmes for the parents and the children to choose from. One is the Middle Years Programme of the IB and the other is the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) of Cambridge International.

Through Secondary schooling, the children not only get involved with the world around them but also follow their passion to work on and develop an area of interest which culminates into a project or a profession later in life.

The personal project is a culminating Middle Years Programme (MYP)* project to develop the student’s interest and to show and apply the skills, which are developed through the MYP’s Approaches to Learning. This project is based on the student’s interests and talents, resulting in a product or outcome. The project is a year-long project, which begins in grade 9 and ends in grade 10.

Prometheus School is an accredited IB School for the Primary Years Programme and is pursuing authorisation for the Middle Years Programme. We offer a choice between IBDP and IGCSE A levels. We will soon be an IB Continuum School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improving the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high-quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.

* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
